Mr Izpisua is a researcher from Hellin (Albacete) who has been working at the Salk Institute since 1993. 

He is one of the most reknowed experts on regenerative biology and has a relevant say on the topic of aging.

He was given an honorary doctorate by the University of Castilla La Mancha on the 13th of April in Albacete.
